Yeah like in vid related the morons didn't even center the lens on XY axis but with a DSLR/ILC configuring the setup to center everything is worthwhile if you've got the tools. In general simple rotation around a fixed center point is usually enough and tripod mounts are usually aligned in the exact center of the sensor already so it's easy for normies and noobies to get decent results.

You know you can take a set of vertical photos and stack them automatically both in LR or PS as panoramic photo with zer to none effort, right?

It just takes a little bit of practice and intuition to keep your photos close and on the same line for the software to work effortless. Take the camera, go to your window and practice.
