>>3786958Thank you. Sorry for being rude, I see your photos a lot and a lot of them are totally stand out. Keep on doin what u do!!
>>3786963Honestly just a pure technical exercise, to see if my computer could handle stitching such a large image and if I wouldn't fuck up taking the photos when I came across a good scene. At 20secs per shot it took like an hour to get it all.
>>3786983Thank you, I used a cheap tripod and a 200mm equivalent lens. Take photos in rows or columns with 1/3rd overlap as neatly as you can for the whole FoV of your scene.
>>3787026 has no clue what the fuck they're talking about, Lightroom fails stiches past like 8 images because it uses the original raw files and will run out of memory. If you want to make a panorama larger than 80mp you NEED Hugin, and to use jpegs. Otherwise it's unbearably slow and heavy on memory, no telling when it will crash.
Learn hugin to shit, how to clean control points, how to process your photos for it, etc. Slowly build to larger and larger images until you gain intuition for what's going wrong with your stitches when things go funny. Eventually you'll be able to combine anything and everything with confidence.
For the 512mp image I used around 300-400 images, though you could go with less. I would remove images that wouldn't or couldn't get good control points. (blank walls, too dark)
