>>3786884>coloursI only touch white balance and tint, and I find it frustrating that I can't just type in the temperature I want in DxO Photolab.
If I know exactly the colour temperature of high pressure sodium or LED street lights (or more often want to set a temperature I know will get rid of the orange of LEDs pretending to be tungsten bulbs but still keep some of the warmth), then... DxO will just reject any attempts to type in the number.
I can type in exact numbers in Luminar 4 and Olympus Workspace, but DxO just doesn't want me to.
I'd say that the thing I'm in two minds about is DxO's "ClearView Plus". I get it, it's a dehaze tool, but it often really makes the sky look more interesting and brings out the algae and moss on buildings. But it's very easy to overcook an image with it too.
Luminar 4's AI Accent and AI Structure also works rather well in this regard, but god do I hate the fact that it's CPU dependent.
I have a pretty good GPU. Not top of the line, not weak either, but DxO spends about 15-20 seconds rendering an image on GPU. Luminar 4 spends 1-3 minutes rendering an image on CPU.
Now, I'll admit to having a pretty shit CPU (for current year) any day, but for video games, video editing, video capture/streaming and using DxO (or other GPU accelerated photo editing), it's a total pleasure to get stuff done. Luminar just uses up all my CPU, and refuses to do anything while it's rendering. DxO at least lets me render + edit simultaneously.
