I'm considering selling my 7-14mm lens and buying a 17mm (both Olympus) but I'm worried about the crop factor. I do hand-held vlogging mainly and I wonder if the switch to 17mm will crop my mug out. Any thoughts?

eh? just set your zoom to 17mm and check for yourself. i don't know why you're worried about crop factor when crop factor is only used to compare to the 35mm film equivalent.

I meant image cropping sorry. I don't have a 17mm focal length lens, hence why I'm asking if 17mm will be sufficient.

The lens is very capable for indoor spaces, and is nice and wide.

Even narrow alley ways are easily captured with this lens.
These images are cropped to 3:2 for obvious reasons, but they are suitable for 16:9 crop as well. Of course, if you're working with MFT, then the native 4:3 might be worthwhile, although be aware that most people don't view images in that aspect ratio (but you can get prints).
