anyone else wish Pentax would just give up on cameras and release their DA Limited lenses as a 3rd party manufacturer for Canon RF, Nikon F, Z, Sony, Fuji, and m4/3 mounts.

Mainly the compact size, even with a usually compact hood, the image quality--Pentax coatings are world-renowned, leading to superior contrast--as well as the build quality, which is all metal. The last one they produced was weather-sealed as well.
