You can either stand facing directly or knife your body to the right with your back foot at 90° angle to the subject and your front at about 45°.
Left hand under camera/lens' center of gravity; this hand holds all the weight.
Right hand lightly gripping the camera; should hold the camera in place, but carry none of the weight.
Viewfinder cushion pressed lightly onto your eye socket.
Keep your elbows tucked down and in towards your chest.
Breathe shallow through your mouth at a relaxed pace.
Pause your breathing when you squeeze the shutter.
Get familiar with your camera so you know how much pressure the shutter button requires.
Continue holding on your subject for a moment after the shot.
