>>3805507Better hurry. Hasn't been made since 2004 and the ones showing on FleaBay are beaters released by news services. The focus motors go on them and this one uses a "focus by wire" used by ONLY a few lens like the original 300mm f2.8, the 600mm f4 and the legendary 1200mm f5.6. Mine was a 2nd version, and I found 2 NOS focus motors sold by a repair company who lost their fucking minds. A guy who bought it thought it only weighed 3.2 pounds, not kilograms and virtually never used it
I had to write a custom module for correcting lens aberrations in my Canon 6D Mk2 as the one for the 200mm 2.0 did not work correctly. A guy I do custom optics for ran it through a Zeiss optical comparator and gave me a mathimatical solution. Corrects the fringe color and barrel distortion, both slight but noticeable. I would LOVE to see what a Canon 5DSr would show.
