>>3805233>1DCyeah, if I go the EF route, the 1DC is on to-buy list. To me, it's peak DSLR.
>why no 5Dits substantially bigger than the a7s and E-M5. If I'm going to get something bigger, I may as well go all the way and get a 1D. I believe if I got the 5D, I would end up getting a battery grip eventually, so I may as well get the camera with an integrated vertical grip.
>lensesyes, but from what I've been reading, many of the Olympus primes are pretty sharp wide-open; same with Sony's f1.8 FE mount primes.
>a7sI preordered it. Used it for hours, everyday, for about 3 years. I will swear by that 12mp sensor. Its that good. Unfortunately, its trapped in that a7 body, which is why I hesitate to buy another one.
>panasonicI won't be using a speed booster. I'll probably pick up native 17mm and 25mm lenses, and use a one of my 50mm FD lenses as a portrait lenses. I am aware that Oly is dead, and Pana may drop M4/3 eventually, so I don't want to dump too much money into this. My primary goal is to go all in on film, but I'm still hooked on the convenience of digital (+ RNI Labs).
(anyway, my fd 24mm L broke twice over the past decade, so I sold it for $700 a couple of years ago. I just looked at the prices they are going for now. I may jump off the nearest bridge.)
