I see nothing condescending on the photos. They seem very respectful to me. OP blended with them and shot them up close, as they're looking, posing, even smiling to the camera.
They definitely do *not* have the look of being shot like exhibits at a zoo.
All I get from the photos is a respectful treatment where OP shows people as they want to be shown, and with their consent. He didn't have to do either, but he did both.
I would've never guessed any disdain, snobbishness or anything other than simple exposition and respect. It doesn't follow from the photos.

What are you really angry about? The relaity the photos represent? The general political situation? Life during covid?
