>>3806125Right now, there are no more DSLR DX bodies planned. D3300 is OK-ish for a while but sooner than lated, OP will want something better. That would be either something from D5x00 or D7x00 ... both not that good. Especially in a few years.
If you want to jump ship to mirrorless, there is only Z50, which is just atrociuous. And there are no god DX Z lenses.
Not everyone wants FF, and nikon FX even less so. I really like the APS-C format, but right now the only manufacturer that actually caters to that market is Fuji. Therefore, nikon DX being dead.
FX lenses are huge and super expensive ... regardless of it being for F or Z mount. It defeats the whole point of D3300.
But I know that you can get rather cheap DX lenses. Its just ... cameras are not only lenses. There are chargers, batteries, flashes, ... and most of that is manufacturer specific.
I do have D3000 and D5100. Both are pretty good cameras for their class/price/time. But the D3000 is strating to get sensor rot. And a while back, I wanted to get mirrorless. And there is simply no reasonable path to that from nikon dx dslr.
