I like him, but he hasnt made a decent video for at least a year now. Just "totally not an ad" video, when he reads specs without any love or passion. He used to be much more fun.

Not really. As you said, there's plenty of reviewers that also do that.
You can think of Kai as kind of like Topgear.
Sure it has cars, but you wouldn't take it seriously or as your only reference before buying a camera. Also, it's fun to watch.
