If water gets in I take off the lens and pour the water out. However, I have to think rather hard of the times when I was trying to shoot something while it was raining or snowing heavily.

i dont, thats why i bought weatherproof bodies.
my hiking olympus em5 and my daily fuji just run under the faucet to clean off. they're cheap and fun and i cbf babying them.

I don't take my camera out in the pouring rain but I also don't treat it like a newborn. It's a users item which might break down one day due to wear & tear. In that case I buy a new one.

shot a football match under a heavy rain last week, since I didn't made my 'monopod umbrella holder', I had to cover my lens and 1dx with a plastic bag.
