Is there any way to hack a Fuji X100S with a Raynox DCR-250 to provide additional depth of field to small/macro shots?

Being new to photography, I am having trouble understanding exactly how to figure such a proposition.

You could do that or just go buy a handheld magnifying glass to hold in front of the lens. I don't know what your subjects are but you can also buy AmScope universal attachments that hook up to a microscope if you want to get super DOF and detail.

Hey that's great and something else I was looking to explore, but I'm too dumb to ask the right question:

I'd like to find a solution that will provide me the ability to do what would be considered "macro" (object:sensor) as well as have enough depth of field for the rest of the composition to be legible.

I think I need a smaller aperture and a lot more light and a new camera and a bunch of other stuff. But I am too new/dumb and still don't know how a bellows works or lenses or light or just anything.

But these scopes are great. Thanks.

Got ya, I misunderstood. The only ways to increase depth of field are by using wider lenses (not really an option on the x100S) or by using focus stacking in post-processing.

It's a nice little device but I do not really give enough of a shit about it to defend it. My mission was accomplished the second MOI pulled up on me with a P90 to tell me to stop.
