>>3816492It's dictated by your needs, but I think most people are trying to balance capability against cost.
What I have:
>Canon EOS M6 Mark II - pretty capable body that's small enough to take with me everywhere, although not so expensive I have to worry about it, and has a suite of lenses that are also decent but not super expensive
>15-45mm standard zoom - decent although not exceptional general purpose lens to always keep on the camera, covers most situations
>10-22 wide angle zoom - a specialty lens for shooting indoors with groups or people or more of an artistic close-up of objects, can be a lot of fun to play around with
>55-250 tele zoom - good range for wildlife, although the lens is nothing special in terms of build quality
>32mm f/1.4 fast normal prime - great lens for portraits of people, and sharp enough to use as a general purpose lens to take photos I plan on printing big
>28mm macro - specialty lens which is more of a fun lens to shoot and play around with, inexpensive and the working distance is nothing to brag about, but takes sharp photos
An that's about all I have any real use for, although if I had the money for it, I sure wouldn't mind having a 400mm or similarly long telephoto lens for more serious wildlife shooting. And if I had the funds, I would also own at least one more camera body to use simultaneously. It can save time and dust ingress into the body with lens changes to have a separate body for the telephoto lens and a standard/wide zoom on its own body.
