You followed that girl and mom until they got into their car and left, hidden from afar in a bush or a wall?
These people aren't doing anything interesting, the lightning is eh, the scenery is boring, there's nothing to them other than peeping.
It's not that you can't do street photography with a telephoto, is that the applications aren't nearly as many as with a lower focal length (16-50mm).
You should be showing something interesting, not something creepy.
