If you like 35mm framing and Fuji presets/controls, it's a strong pick for hobbyist photographers.

It has full manual controls, shoots RAW, manual or custom autofocus, and technically has interchangeable lenses if you really need them. It is only like a point and shoot in that it is compact, portable, and does not require paying for more add-ons just to take pictures.
