>>3824503>slapping the cheapest pos 50mm in front of it.Jesus, this comment is gonna live rent free in my head for a while. It's just... so stupid on so many levels.
Like, first off, everyone knows that the 50mm/1.8 in every system gives you amazing optical quality. It's the easiest lens to make both cheap and really good.
Like, the 50/1.8 STM and 50/1.8D that I priced out both even have decent build quality to go with their great optics.
Like, a $100 50/1.8 on a full frame system is going to trounce far more expensive lenses on a 4/3 system.
Like, the whole point of my post was pricing out a low-cost system because someone claimed a "poverty-tier" full frame system would cost ten grand.
Like, you seem to be accusing me of being the gearfag while simultaneously implying that a sharp, fast, low-cost normal is an unacceptable lens to use.
Like, you're putting "bargain" in quotes like a $500 camera isn't pretty cheap by the standards of professional digital cameras.
Like, you're saying I spent "all that time and effort" pricing out systems when it was maybe four google searches just to check that the numbers were still roughly accurate.
Honestly, I've spent more time staring at this comment dumbfounded with how idiotic it is, not knowing where to start, than I spent researching a bargain full frame system.
I don't even have a problem with u4/3. They're nice little cameras and I shoot with one myself occasionally. I just objected to that stupid comment that a full frame system would run you ten grand at the extreme low end. It's not like I was saying "This is the best full frame system you can get", I was specifically pricing out something cheap. Wanna spend the extra money on a 50/1.4? Go ahead! It's still under budget!
Congratulations. You've successfully trolled me. I'm gonna be seething about how stupid this was all day now.
>>3824423>5D2 and D700 are even less, around $300-450. Otherwise you’re pretty closeYeah, I was deliberately rounding up.
