No, you have a right to think it's shit. However, while the technical aspect of it isn't great, he manages to create iconic portraits because of what he does outside of the camera itself. He isn't the fiddler on the black box. Sometimes he isn't even the one who presses the shutter release button.

And you are right on that, his style is "out there", i don't frown him over not being technically correct, that's a stupid argument, i just find it unpleasing, edgy and over the top (which is probably what he aims to do)

I actually agree with you, but I enjoy his antics.
The best about him is that he made a style of his own, that makes his material instantly recognizable.
