>>3827713It's not a DSLR, predominantly because it isn't an SLR. There's no mirror. Basically, it's a mirrorless camcorder with the empty space to accommodate the EF flange distance, required to fit a mirror box on an EF DSLR.
>>3827777Oh god, it's this anon applying ×2 crop factor to fucking everything...
Listen... professional cameras used for cinematography and broadcast TV use sensors even smaller than Four Thirds.
If it has the 2/3 sensor, then it has a crop factor of ×3.9. If it's a 1/2 Sensor, which is digital Super 8, then that's an even bigger crop factor.
Here's the thing about Fool Framers, they don't even understand the needs and requirements of cinematography and broadcast video, and just assume that everything is based around 35mm film.
Except... 135 film was designed with consumers in mind. Something small, something easy to load without training, something easy to store without needing a darkroom or specialised equipment.
Videography and cinematography has traditionally used smaller formats, predominantly because they're not taking stills... or... they theoretically are, but at 24 stills a second, physically compact film was required.
Preserving 16mm and 8mm in digital at has some benefits.
But of course, every fool framer thinks their Canon R5 or R6 is the best thing ever, but professionals don't really care about sensor size. Just that it will do the job they need it to without failure. But then again, that 2/3 sensor camera is going to cost like... $30k while the R5/6 costs like $6k.
