Vintage lens, when focused somewhere in between closest focus and infinity these weird shapes become sharpest. The amount of zoom doesn't change them much. Lens is clean, at least the front and rear elements are.
What the hell is this? Balsam separation? Fungus? Looking through it with a flashlight I seem to spot something similar to what prescription glasses look like when part of the UV/antiflare coating peels off near the borders.
