After having literally used more than two dozen cameras, I always come back to my Nikon D40. I can´t even pinpoint it, but it is the one camera I enjoy most. The picture quality is very nice, even high ISO can be used with RAW, when denoising in Lightroom. It almost has a film-like grain. Which is probably why I like it: it feels like a film camera with a never ending roll of slide film.
