I like everything. Thing I dislike in photography teal & orange, but like all trends it's nearly forgotten now. Photos of hobos trend died many years ago too. I've shot one in my lifetime and feel kinda bad about it, but it was for assignment so fuck it.

Shooting some scene of an attractive girl or an old car with any of the portra films (perticulairly portra 400) with a Leica or Mamiya.
Bonus points for "accidental" double exposure, light leaks, or some coloured lighting hitting the face. Same goes for CinceStill800 and gas stations at night.

I kinda dislike how it seems like people shove mediums into boxes. Like large format film (or even medium format) is almost always over exposed shots inspired by new topographics, or a portrait. The subject and approach are often so similar and I question why they don't try anything new.

Another one is how hard people cling to the past. Everyone says old stuff looks cooler but it seems like they take the present for granted. I'd like to have photographs of new things so when they're not so current anymore I can look back and appreciate them. I can't look back on a car from the 70s and feel anything really.

The only thing that's worse than taking black and white pictures because you have a bad understanding of color theory is recolorizing old black and white photos.
Everything looks wrong, contrast is blown out, and clothes usually look like they're made of space magic fabric which have obtuse colors and impossible shading gradients.

That doesn't matter though. Go look at a Billboard magazine from back then, the entire archive is online. The charts were topped with rock music and art-first music. Now the charts are literally all just rap and manufactured pop. Mainstream rock is similarly manufactured and commercialized. It's a very different animal. Rock and art-first music still exist but they have been pushed underground and there's far less of it now. They used to play entire albums on mainstream radio stations. Commercial music won the battle.

The best consolation in misfortune or affliction of any kind will be the thought of other people who are in a still worse plight than yourself. Naming photos. There are a ton of times where I actually like a photo but the dumb cunt that took it gave it a trite fucking title and it makes me hate it because it ruins it. No titles on photos, ever. The only information that's acceptable is location, etc.

It's his flash recommendation for Fujifilm. He's actually one of the more watchable you tubers that reviews functions and features on their cameras. I've actually learned a few thing i didn't fully understand how to use. Generally the XT-series has a host of different things you can do with it.

Only if it's a pseudo-artistic name. For example, if you take a picture of a couple sitting on a bench in a park, and you call it "love finds a way" or something, I feel the cringe and rage coming on. If it's just like "macarthur park couple.jpg" or "2021-03-06 macarthur park 0020.jpg" then I don't care.
