What's your favorite non-visual (lenses, filters, and such) accessory?

Mine is this peak design clip. I got it last Christmas from my girlfriend and it's entirely changed how I take pictures. having my camera easily accessible in the nook of my arm has been invaluable for quickly getting shots. Never have to plan shit.

I've always wanted to get one of these, but i ride a bike and I'm honestly not interested in ever diving camera first into the pavement or it just rumbling to much to the point where it falls off.

I have one of these but no longer use it. It's finicky on long hikes but I never felt like it would fall off. Peak Design's strap system is fantastic, too. It's the best over the body strap I've ever used for hiking. Doesn't shift or swing around when I'm moving.

My favorite accessory is the Gorillapod DSLR. It's basically taken over the need for any full size tripod.

I got the capture clip but I'm scared my camera will fall off... I need to fuckin use the thing. Got it for xmas and it hasn't been used yet.

You have not ridden the pot holes of Queens and Brooklyn. I also hop a lot of curbs on narrow streets. Honestly afraid a few good jerks would knock and XT-2 off or my sweat would sweep to the camera.

Honestly it’s fine in my oversized pocket. The risk of damaging it seem not worth it. I don’t even mind holding it or not having pounds of camera uneven on my shoulder.

I have my camera tethered to my backpack anyways, so if the clip fails it won't fall to the ground. But the clip hasn't even hinted at failing or coming undone so far.

Probably this, makes the grip longer so I've got a better hold on my camera and since it's hard anodised i don't mind putting my camera down on surfaces that might otherwise have scuffed the bottom
I don't even use a tripod much but I like to keep it on just for how it feels

Unironically my bag.
I wrap the shoulder strap around the seatbelt latch so that when I have to hit the brakes suddenly the thing doesn't take off into the floorboard and the padding is enough to handle whatever deceleration there is to keep it in place.
I don't mind my beer or groceries getting jostled around a bit, but I'd rather my camera be safely stowed.
Bless their little hearts, the woodland creatures aren't very good about traffic safety but since they don't know any better it's on me to avoid killing them.
That's not a big deal, but anything in the cab that's not lashed down might have a bumpy ride.

I wouldn't be so worried if I were you. I've gone mountain biking on some fairly rough trails with my camera dangling from this attached to the shoulder strap of my pack, and it has yet to fail. I also keep a cover on my camera so it doesn't get dirty
