Hello.
I am looking for a camera to take photos and record videos.
The maximum price is 500 euros.
Which will be better of the two?
For amateur photography?
Fujifilm X-A5 or Canon 200D

Would not recommend the X-A5 for video but photos gonna look almost the same as from the X-T4. Just buy a good prime lens for this thing and ditch that XC trash.

Yes it does. I have the X-T3 and X-A5. There biggest difference you notice is when you change some sliders in LR. In fact the Bayer ones looks a bit more sharp sooc with better skin tones. But it's marginal.

I shoot mainly with bayer sensor cameras but also have an x-t1 to duck around with, and yeah, they don’t look significantly different.

I'm truly sorry if you are OP and trying to get some good advice. If so I would advise you to try and at least test how both cameras feel in your hand before buying, ask to take some test shots with them, get a feel for how they shoot and then pick which one you like better. Neither is inherently better it very much depends on your needs, the only thing I will say is that you will inevitably pay less for Canon lenses so you should factor that in. Fuji lenses tend to sell for more used and cost more new. If you're considering buying a lot of lenses in the system you choose and you aren't too flush with cash you'll have access to far more options with the Canon in your price point.

Canon 200D is stylish, Fujifilm X-A5 is just kitsch. Only hipsters find it stylish, it's painfully inauthentic.

The 200D is flashy you either look like a professional photographer with his own small studio - or like the typical girl that got a cool DSLR by her parents on christmas because she wanna get into photography.

The Fuji looks slim, probably no one gonna notice it.

Are you kidding? It's one of the smallest DSLRs in existence. It's remarkably small. The viewfinder is the only thing making it taller than the X-A5.

The one you feel comfortable to use Almost any modern camera is very good for amateur taking photos and recording video.
I'm sure the Fuji does the job well if you feel you like using it.
I'd myself take Canon. (I already have a 100d and bunch of affordable lenses.) The 200d is tiny for a dslr and has a mountain of lenses available if you grow out of the kit lens.(Kit is good for start and enough for most amateurs.)
