>>3850941>Sony to do a custom batchBut it already is a custom batch, the gfx sensors aren't off the shelf units.
>MoireWill present itself whenever you're shooting a pattern around the Nyquist limit, the gfx 50 have the same pixel pitch as an a7riii and has no aa filter, so will have moire issues exactly the same (ignoring baked in chroma noise reduction, which Fuji like to do)
>Fuji should have done mf X transSure, unless it might hurt their sales by being a hindrance to performance.
>>3851022>X-trans needs more processing powerNo, it doesn't. Adding the chroma noise reduction into the raw is the most taxing part. And you're greatly overestimating the processing power needed for demosaic, if the xe1 could manage it in 2012 without breaking a sweat, then a professional body at ten times the price a decade later should do it easily.fwiw amd CPU's have seen about a 900% increase in multithreaded applications processing power in that same time period.
>>3851033>Man shares opinion piece on a conversation he maybe had with someone 10 years ago, BTFO!lol. The reality is that Bayer photos need about 10-20% less processing power.
I bet you're also dumb enough to believe Fuji when they said they needed more powerful processors for every new Instagram curve they added.
