I did a lot of homework around panoramic cameras as I lusted for an Xpan / TX-1, and they are simply not worth it.
Yes they take cool as fuck pictures, but it's:
1) Film, enjoy doing specialist devs, or doing it yourself
2) lenses are rare and stupid expensive
2a) some lenses need specialist filters to get an even exposure
3) the cameras are stupidly overpriced
4) they are prone to spontaneously bricking themselves, and no, you can't repair them
5) Extremely niche and narrow genre of photographs.
It's a complete meme.
The GFX system is basically the same price, but you have full control - and it's also a damn good camera from what i've read.
