Consider the Minolta CLE then. I have the CLE and M3 and use the CLE way more. 28mm isn’t that hard to guess though since it consumes so much of your field of view

Absolutely do not get a camera without 28mm framelines then.

I second the CLE but only if you don't care about shooting in manual exposure mode. The camera doesn't meter in manual mode so you need to switch to A mode to meter and then back to M to adjust your exposure.

Manual mode is wack anyway, aperture priority ftmfw

CLE has exposure comp and it tells you what shutter speed it’s going to shoot at in the finder so it’s not a big deal really

Digital user want to try shooting film after I've found a cheap rangefinder.

Noob question; with digital cameras you can see the exposure, so how do set the film camera to have correct exposure? Have seen the 'sunny rule' but how to convert this to high shutter speeds for wide apertures?

It's the same as manual mode on your digital camera. Use it as your light meter. Eventually with enough practice you'll be able to calculate exposure without one.

Wider apertures, higher shutter speeds. Smaller apertures, slower speeds.
