>>3864387These are straw men. But my points are:
>>DSLR are better than mirrorless because mirrorless gets regular firmware updates.Mirrorless cameras have implementation problems and they are immature, especially in edge applications.
>Mirrorless has more power to differentiate high spec from midrange, so they're worseNot in the sense of the hierarchy, but in the generation. There are still problems and expectations that should and will be addressed.
>>DSLR are more rounded>By what measure? Because it's not size, weight, balance, af speed, af accuracy, lens selection, intuitive controls, price, features, future-proofing, low light photography, animal photography...It's debatable in particular on balance, af speed, af accuracy, lens selection, intuitive controls, price, low light photography.
What I meant with rounded was with regard to photography, mainly a tuned, uniform and consistent operation in a wide application. Mirrorless need to be set for their environment and application, e.g. in evf and display options for indoor, daylight, night, flash/studio environment, e.g. in focus mode much more aligned to the subject and lighting situation, fallbacks. Advances so far tend to specialize in animal, human and eye detection, including video, being allrounders. In terms of photography advances only weakly address the cases that suffer from a lack of ovf or dedicated af module.
