ive been shooting film on a Nikon FM2 and am looking for a digital camera for street photography like a rangefinder maybe (?) just give me some recs

They roughly cost the same price used but if you find an M5 for a good deal, go for it. They are great for street photography. Get the 20mm f1.7 lens.
You can get all that under $600 depending on the offers.

Bought the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mk iii and absolutely hated it. Plastic piece of crap returned it after shooting with it for about 6 hrs

if you're planning on adapting your old lenses snoys are pretty good for that since the flange distance is compatible with many other mounts. do some research tho.
