xt-1 or a6000?

looking for a cheaper mirrorless camera sub 250 usd and these seem to be solid options. Mainly looking to adapt my other glass when i'm too lazy to shoot film.

I own both an X-T1 and an A6000 and I barely use the A6000 because I hate it and use the X-T1 all the time because it's one of my favorite cameras.

So my suggestion would be the X-T1.

Only thing I don't like about it is that you can't take multiple shots in a row without refocusing by keeping the shutter button half-pressed (unless you're in manual-focus mode). Still prefer the interface to the interface on the A6000 though.

fuck that noise, what a garbage camera, fucking awful to use, the fucking awkward as fuck ui was designed by japanese bdsm fetishist, its as if every single fucking design decision was a choice to make execution of intent worse. weird color output that meant you spend fucking hours in post going over every single stupid photo.
dumped that piece of shit at considerable loss on ebay.
swapped to a fuji and have been happy as a pig in shit since.
x-t2 is a considerably better camera though so stretch the budget.

What a piece of fucking trash that was, absolutely garbage user experience, ergo designed by a 108 year old boomer that thinks bricks are fun to hold and having to move your shooting hand to move dials was smart.

Sony are a real camera company, they make most of the parts for all Nikon, Fuji and Pentax cameras, and there's good reason that neatly every manufacturer trusts Sony parts. Also means Sony can sell their cameras at a much lower price than competitors.

Sounds like an apt comparison to the Fuji experience. Meanwhile other people just got gud.
I don't own some Sony piece of shit with no viewfinder to look through the lens ,but I do own an old Canon DSLR and even though the menus aren't the greatest (specially compared to my newer Nikons) I get along with it just fine. I hardly doubt the menus in your Sony is any worse than the ones in a an old DSLR that didn't even have a record button.

i memed myself into an a6xxx camera for my first camera way before i started posting here. i hadn't even had experience with other cameras and I hated it the moment I got it. its just so awkward and terrible to use. maybe the a7 series are better but the 6000 line is true garbage.

XT1 files struggle with very fine detail, can have strange colour casts and it doesn’t have any kind of built in pixel system for mapping out the dead ones. But aside from that I like mine. It’s small, light, and has a few great options for manual focus in the viewfinder.

Avoid Sony apsc. Get Fuji or possibly even m43. You can get ibis and noaa filter sensor at that price, but it'll make your adapted lenses 2x focus length.

Had the a6000 and traded for a X-T1. No regrets. You should only choose the a6000 if you want to film more than to take stills and can't buy anything better. I shoot x-t3 and nikon d750 now. Would never trade it for any Sony out there. I prefer the Fuji, by the way.
