>>3877572I don't have great advice for taking hummingbird shots. For that shot I was both lucky, as it went for a plant and not one of my feeders, and a little patient. I've seen that hummingbird feed on that plant before so I just sat next to it and waited for it to come by. After about 15? minutes it came by but I couldn't get a nice shot. 10 minutes later it came to feed again and I got that shot, and it flew off when I tried changing the focual length. As for positioning, I wish the hummingbird went to another plant as that one was right next to my backyard door in the shade. I guess my advice is to be be lucky, find a nice spot where hummingbird's feed that in the sun, and wait to get a nice picture.
