I think he thought I was photographing his house or something. (to be fair I did take a few shots of it. It was one of those victorian style houses with the little tower on it, and it was nestled in among some trees so it was a pretty idyllic shot. My main focus was the open landscape next to that though)
Other than that I mostly just get curious looks unless I go into town to shoot the downtown area. The folks downtown are used to people photographing all the old historical buildings and such.
I don't mind the suspicion from the rural people though, that's expected and I'm the same way.
