I want to hear from people with small kits - what they use, what they shoot, and why they think their few items suit their shooting style and purpose.
I currently only have:
- x-t2 and 35mmF1.4
- rx100m3
I shoot:
- street
- indoor subject shots (food, my cat, people)
- landscape & astro (with rx100m3)
- environmental portraits
Rationale:
- My x-t2 + 35mmF1.4 is my magic picture machine. It produces great photos with little effort and lets me focus purely on composition and taking opportunistic shots (in street photography). It's fairly small for the quality of picture it takes, easy to sling around the shoulder and take out for a day of shooting.
- My rx100m3 is both my daily driver and my specialty camera. Unlike many others that describe themselves as so, it does actually fit easily in my front pant pocket. Its good for street creeping and is wide enough to handle the landscape and astro shots that my fuji setup isn't ideal for. Beyond that it's great for any sort of photo I'd otherwise take with my phone, and often serves as motivation and a reminder to shoot.
