>>3897255In 2021? About as well as most Olympus cameras are.
With 20.3mp resolution and the 5-stops of IBIS, it's about in line with every current OM-D model, whether it's the E-M10 Mk IV or the E-M1X.
It lacks the handheld hi-res mode, and despite having focus bracketing, it cannot stack in-camera.
No PDAF isn't a big deal, since S-AF is pretty damn rapid rapid anyway, but shooting birds in flight can be hard.
Sync-IS is available on the 300mm f/4 and I'm not sure about stuff like the 24-100mm f/4 either, but I understand the full 6.5 stops from the 150-400mm f/4.5 isn't available - that's exclusive to the E-M1 Mk III and E-M1X.
No weather sealing kinda is a bummer but I guess that's just the trade-off between it and something more recent.
Dynamic range is... not terrible. I think DxO Mark states it's 11 or 12 stops of DR (I can't remember) and I know flagship FF cameras are showing off 13 of 14 stops of DR, but I guess that's just what you get for not buying a Sony A7RIV, and something nearly a third of the price.
Noise on MFT is horrifically overstated. No camera looks good at ISO 12500, but I'd say that going above ISO 3200 is going to be where the noise will be noticeable. Images are still pretty decent at ISO 160/, and even then, going to high ISOs are much more of a thing you'll do in daylight conditions anyway - IBIS lets you keep SS low and usable handheld.
I often go to ISO 800 for macro shots in the field due to issues like wind, and I think those shots still look pretty good.
Of course, with DxO Photolab, the noise is hardly a problem.
