I hope someone else has noticed a similar problem on a laptop and was able to find a solution to this problem because I haven't been able to.
Whenever my laptop is not being charged, the screen sort of fades in contrast just slightly as a power saving mechanism for all I can tell. This would be great but it is detrimental to when I want to edit pictures. This lower contrast mode results in displaying *sligthly* over exposed and under contrasted images. This is obviously bad when I want to edit images.
Changing the classic Windows battery consumption mode does not help. I haven't been able to find any display/power consumption settings related to dynamic range or contrast perhaps.
There are absolutely no mentions of this online because the change is so small. It took me about 3 months to notice, and only because I was editing pictures.
The obvious solution is to just keep my laptop plugged in, but it would be great to know if anyone else ever had a problem with this, and whether they had a solution
