You're a fool who doesn't even realize there's different sizes of sensors being sold as full frame, and that small variations also happened in film cameras themselves despite the specification.
There's mirrorless trash like the Sony a7R IV with 35.7 x 23.8 mm and reflex godmachines with 36 x 24 mm sensors like the Canon EOS 1D X Mark III. But in the end it doesn't make much of a difference and I'd take a reflex godmachine with a 35.9 x 23.9 mm like the Nikon D850 over mirrorless trash like the Leica SL with its 36 x 24 mm sensor.
There's no sensation like reflection.

You're probably mad that people point out that there's a larger gap between APS-C and full frame than between full frame and crop medium format so you try to get under the skin of full frame shooters.
I don't agree because exposed film sizes change between camera models.
I do agree however that "medium format" is a misnomer for 44x33mm sensors. It's a marketing trick. If 127 was still in the public's minds they'd be forced to call it digital Vest Pocket or digital 127. The difference between real 645 and full frame 135 is larger than the entire area of 44x33mm.

Fuji and Nikon use the same size sensors, differences are probably down to measurement methods. Different sources sometimes quote different sensor sizes for the same camera even. It's pretty crazy.

They are misleading in the advertising instead, lol. Olympus uses shopped pictures to make the sensor appear larger than it is. Panasonic had to start doing the same because Oly forced their hand. They fill the borders in the pictures.

The E-mount is perfectl capable of them.
But the G-mount is just straight up incompatible with the Phase One sized sensors.

Comparing the two is more like a bad troll.
G-mount was designed for the sensor it has, they never intended for it to use anything bigger than that.
E-mount was designed for full frame from the beginning as well.

I'm not so sure, Pentacon Six does fine with 60mm and Fuji G has 65mm.
E-mount was extended for full frame but it's clearly an afterthought. Leica is right.

How is it not when we're talking throat size?
The diagonal of the sensor is 69mm, and the flange of the mount is 26.7mm.
It could work with a proper 645 sensor but it'd vignette like crazy. Specially with adapted lenses with longer flanges that are more telecentric.

Throat diameter 62.1mm <- this is the one that counts.

The G-mount's MF angle of incident is 28.67°.
The E-mount's FF angle of incident is 28.58°
If you expand the G-mount sensor any further, then it's actually going to be significantly worse with true mechanical vignetting.

That's debatable, my gripe with G mount is that it adds nothing significant to what you get with full frame other than bragging rights.
Pentax 645 is a much better system, at least you get the chance to use leaf shutters.
