Shoot toward the sunset after the sun itself goes down. You'll want a clear, dry night with lower humidity, to make the gradient unobstructed by clouds but also less diffused by moisture in the air, which makes the colors pop more.

I'm so confused. The filename on Mediafire says .NEF but the file download I get is a .tif. A tif obviously isn't a raw, the nef is. What's going on?

I figured it out. Mediafire just did a stupid thing and renamed it. I had to change the extension back to .nef and it worked fine.

Here's a quick edit. I went high saturation but it's a sunset shot. Keep in mind I don't know what it looked like there. I also cropped it because I don't really care for the original composition to be honest.

I do usually clean noise in LR then add a fine grain for a bit more sharpness but this is due to my compression program (Format Factory) that somehow adds a fuckton of noise.
I forgot about that before posting.
