What are some non-Leica rangefinder cameras that you would recommend? Looking for something not too tanky and easy to use.

Why? It handles well, has a mechanical shutter, even loading film is easier thanks to backplate opening. Also the price difference is marginal these days.

I don't really understand how someone who actually shoots photos can look at the Bessa lineup and claim they're over-rated and shit.

Voigtlander Bessa R2x, R3x, R4x
Zeiss Ikon ZM
Konica Hexar RF
Minolta CLE
