The better part of a century ago they were at the forefront of camera development. Today, they've been coasting on the brand name for so long they can crap out merely adequate cameras at extreme prices, and people will lap them up and praise the lack of features as somehow a feature itself.
You can take the same LTM, M-mount or L-mount lenses and mount them on damn near any mirrorless body with a short enough flange distance (which is anyone other than the 3 Samsung NX users) and get all the stylistic benefits of nice vintage glass without paying 10x the price for 1/2 the functionality and a red dot.
