>>3919160The GA645 is a perfect snapshot camera for travelling, as far as medium format goes. There just isn't anything like it, very easy and effortless to use.
To mention a few things that you won't find in the vast majority of other cameras, either separately and especially combined:
1. Autofocus. Easy and effortless. You can hand it to a stranger to take a snap of you and your friends while on holiday, and you'll get a well focused and exposed picture.
2. Metering and aperture priority. Same point as above applies, plus you can use it more efficiently yourself without having to resort to an external meter or a bulky prism. The only other RFs that do that are the Mamiya 6 and 7, and the Fuji GF670 (also honourable mention to Plaubel Makina 67), all of which cost a multiple of the GA645
3. Integrated, metered flash. Got dark and you're indoors at a restaurant or a club and want a quick snap with your friends? No problem, pop up the flash and you'll get a perfectly exposed frame regardless of ambient light. This saves a ton of bulk vs carrying an external flash (which you wouldn't bother to carry most of the time). Also the fact that it provides metered flash is a huge convenience. For most other cameras, you need specific adapters and flashes, along with the special prisms usually, to be able to do metered flash (however you could always use an authothyristor flash that provides good enough results in most cases).
4. You won't find something lighter or more compact for the frame size and features.
So, if you have your mind set to that camera, go for it, cause no other camera can be used as effortlessly, like a point and shoot, as the Fuji. Also check the GA645W, the wideangle version. Usually wideangle lenses are slower, but for the Fuji it's not, it's the same aperture, and you can always crop later, so you might want to consider that one instead, for versatility. The wideangle version has roughly 25mm equivalent field of view (roughly the same as your phone).
