Art studio close to me is hosting this model for a nude shoot next week and I was invited to come along. What are some tips? I plan to bring my 85mm and think up a few concepts over the wekeend. Anything else I should be doing?

There is no 'art' in nude photoshoots. It's just a way to roastify even further our western culture. It's the worship of the roastee' and shouldn't be engaged with.
It's a tool for roasties to get validation and pathetic simps to get a sniff of the roastie all under this pretence of artistic expression when they both know it has nothing to do with it

- If they have a flash setup, check if you need a trigger adapter (probably not, but who knows what the hell you're shooting with to maybe). If they;ve got some nice big softboxes, have fun with silhouettes.
- 'Nude lady sexy sexy' wears off in about 5 minutes.
- Anything other than caucasian white shin under daylight will meter off. Be prepared to drop exposure for darker skin.
- Forget clothes, they're still a model, remember to actually direct them.
- If the studio has shit in it, use that shit. Have them climb things, hold things, etc.
- Don't go wiping their cervix with the lens hood, but don't be afraid to get close and fill the frame.

I'd use something wider like 35mm to get more intimate effect. Zoom lens make it seem like you observe someone from a distance.

I do have a 35 I can bring but i feel its a bit wide on FF. I wanted to actually use a 50mm but I never got around to picking up one/using it so If i get it would be my first time shooting with it.

Yeah, at the end of the day you are the photographer and can set your own boundaries, you dont have to shoot everything that youre asked. If this isn't where you plan for your career to go just politly decline

Do shoot naked.
Put model at ease by offering to shag her. Ensure sure you offer a number of times in case she’s shy.
Also don’t feel awkward using your hands to pose her - they’re professionals, they expect it.

Speaking of which, why isn't macro photography of the actual genitalia more of a thing? It seems like the perfect thing to do to seem artsy and stand out from the crowd.

I would be so into that. Taking artsy erotic pictures sounds like so much fun, and getting a threesome out of it would be like, a bowl of cherries on top. But I’d also have no problem fucking both the dude and his girl, so that’s me.
If you want to do the photography, just let them know that’s all you’re there for (and if the couple is weird about that then don’t go at all, don’t go into a situation where they don’t respect your boundaries) Threesomes, especially with couples or if some isn’t into it, can become incredibly awkward and lopsided, so if you aren’t comfortable with it then don’t even bother trying to join them. If I were you I would go with the intent of only taking pictures, and maybe after a bit of alcohol and getting into the vibe you’ll feel more like joining.

85mm on full frame is a fantastic field of view for this sort of photography. I've taken tens of thousands of nude photos and about a third of them were at 85mm, a third at 50mm, and remaining third "everything else".
