>>3927944Good luck and remember, despite being a meme for a piece of zoomer shit site like this when you curate and present a body of work the concept itself is as important as the photos, those two you posted give me the impression of nighttime urban sceneries in an east asian city, perhaps Japan due to the shinto ribbons and gates.
This might sound fancy for us but i think the regular japanese will overlook it as they see it all the time, in this regard you will have to fall into another meme that is a selling point with "common" looking images which is the much-dreaded "storytelling", such overused term merely means the images build up to a goal or climax, several of them if possible and "them" being a site, a situation, a twist in themes, etc.
The name of the work itself plays a giant part in revealing or making the viewer somewhat expect what he is getting into. For a hypothetical example imagine those images, which feature solemn and peaceful traditional objects in the middle of the city, and that alley in second pic leading to the next image of a neon-ladden love motel hidding between taller buildings; it causes a twist or an ironic theme, which is also overused as fuck but hey, if it works it works. Now, for common decency among twist writers one should anticipate such move with a clue, either with a previous image showing such place composed as background subject or by using the title of the work. It is not necessary to do such a thing but like i said, journeys can make common visages interesting once again.
Many photogs and even writers make a work out of all their ideas and then revisit the places or ideas they got to "fill the blanks" now that they know what to shoot for, so don't worry about making second journeys as those filled spaces are what makes things fluid and more enjoyable.
