>>3925103Did you really think a JC Penney would be made in the US you retarded kid? you don't need to be a "real" photographer to have common sense.
>similarly priced <$100 chinese lens from amazonNow we are cooking, i didn't know that detail, you probably are better with the lenses you posted if an option to consider is the plastic scam stuff from Amazon, so i apologize for not understanding your question, i thought you referenced the recent cheap chinese-made lenses which are actually not that bad build-wise, many are made with actual metal which is not common anymore.
>what kind of adapter would i need to get that on a sony eDepends on the lens, i find rare that at such low price the lens included the adapter, but in theory you should search a "x" mount to E mount, for Nikkor lenses you would need a F-mount to E-mount adapter, that one costs 10 bucks if a dummy (which means no circuits, just the chunk of steel/plastic).
For a Vivitar it also depends because they released lots of stuff in different mounts, the most common ones are Canon FD (FD-mount to E-mount, you get it) and Nikkor (F-mount) but you might find them in MC which i think is Miranda mount. Note that MC also stands for multi-coated in some lenses, particularly those cheap ones, so be careful when reading.
You might find some of those, especially the 80-200mm f5.6, for cheaper than 50 bucks because people are smug about newer stuff. Here's an example: Nikkor 80-200mm f4.5, sharp as hell, no haze nor fungus but supposedly some small scratches in the front element which are okay if you shoot your aperture wide open. You can clearly see it's made out of aluminum and metal so don't worry about it breaking or something, it's somewhat expensive but it's 50 dollars and will be better than most.
Also no matter the lens, do NOT pick one that has haze or fungus, your contrast will get fucked hard, artifacts will appear in out of focus highlights and the resistance towards strong lights will be diminished.
