This is a lengthy read but I'm sure it sums up local photography scenes in other parts of the world. I'd be interested in hearing if any of your experiences are similar to mine.
After having recently re-activated my Instagram account, I can truly say I dislike the app and everything it's about. Not sure why I ever got caught up in the hype of believing that if you didn't post your work on social media, then it meant you had no relevancy.
Starting back around 2015 social media photography influencers weren't a thing yet, or at least not as big as it is now. You could just reach out through email or model mayhem and you'd find a TFP model to shoot with to help expand your portfolio.
