>>3936880I did that, no dice. Initially, since it's been sitting for god knows how many years in various conditions (I really don't know how the camera was stored, someone took it from an old house or something), I looked in the battery compartment a couple days ago. Today, I got around to getting a new battery and some apple cider vinegar and tried my hand at cleaning up the contacts just to be sure it would work. When I put the new battery in, it felt incredibly loose compared to the older battery that was corroding the contacts. I don't even know if it's making contact. The old battery, marked "A544" fit snugly in the contacts, whereas the new 28L can literally be dropped in without any fitment. I'm thinking maybe the problem is that I didn't get the exact same type of battery, but as far as I know, most of those 6v batteries are compatible with the camera. Maybe I'll order some of these A544 batteries on Amazon, but I'm not sure it'll do the trick. Like I said, it's been sitting in some house for a number of years, so I wouldn't really know the problem, other than it not getting power. I still think the loose battery has something to do with that, but I don't know. It might not even work at all, which would kinda bum me out since I think it's cool.
