>>3937986This is why I don't "submit" my photos anywhere, not curated online "galleries" aka glorified social media groups, not to news agencies or news personalities, not corporations, nothing. The people you're submitting to are totally happy to take your photography and use it for themselves because it means they get free eye candy and requisite traffic on their page or for their brand, without actually having to pay anyone for any of it. The times I've gotten "exposure" have never done anything for me, ever. The few times I got reached out to about serious print inquires were done on Flickr, where I have no huge following and single digit likes on almost all my pics, just because the photos were tagged with the location they were shot in and people were looking for "pretty" photos of said locations. I never try to "put my work out there" because it feels desperate and forced, whatever people like my photos sought it out or just saw one of them somewhere and checked out my entire body of work.
