Maybe I can be nicer about it, but I'm actually much nicer in real life where, when I'm explaining something flatly, there's less room to misinterpret it as being rude or abrasive if it's ant bit against your own stance. That's why I took a break from /p/ for a while until I had enough good photos to make a thread

Instead of going out and taking photos and coming back and saying "these are X" (because the question to that is "are they X?") I choose to just show them, because they unequivocally just "are". Obviously I have some reasons for taking them, but the only reason that's important is in relation to the photos themselves and any potential curiosity generated by them. I don't make statements about my photos, but I will discuss them if anyone asks. Most people don't ask, though; they have their own ideas and project them onto my (or anyone else's) work. That's fine in and of itself and is actually what you should be doing as a viewer, but I don't like it when people get mad at and witch hunt me when I disagree with any conviction. This author is not yet dead
