>>3943410The base is only 1mm so a jewelers saw cuts through like butter. The keyed piece will probably need to just be hand filed then soldered to the base. I just like to 3d print parts like this to get an idea of scale and shit but I tend to use hand techniques to actually make the parts.
The chunkier version is a brass base with a smallrig coldshoe mounted to it. Hand filed the little stopper from brass that sits at the front of it.
>>3943409give it a try anon! You can do a lot with very basic tools, you just need an idea of what to make! Light modifiers are the easiest way to get into it I think. You can make a diffuser or softbox out of just about anything.
