And yes anon, if you go for iso 100, then go for it, but the photo that took 20 seconds at iso 12800, would take 43 minutes at iso 100. Oh and presuming you're using a crop camera, to match the noise performance of full frame at iso 100 you'd need a 1 hour 26 minute exposure.
Or, you stack 16 20s iso 12800 shots, and get the equivalent of iso 800, which is plenty clean on full frame, and you get a huge boost to resolution, even beyond the capabilities of the lens as long as you move the camera by at least 1 pixel between photos.
