50MP is enough. I do not fucking care what you shoot, 50MP is enough. There's many scenarios where 62MP is too much, but almost never a scenario where 50MP isn't enough.
Because Sony left the low-pass AA filter off the A1, you actually get more perceived sharpness and definition from the 50MP sensor than the 62MP sensor on the a7R IV.
Because the A1 sensor is both stacked and backside illuminated, the sensitivity is significantly better than the a7R IV also, and that additional performance is very apparent in the images, again giving the edge to the lower resolution sensor.
